Behind the Butterfly

So Vici means "I conquered." I love that phrase and I love that sentiment and that's what I want to bring to companies and individuals. Helping them conquer their communications challenges or their fears - doing speaking engagements at conferences and offering keynotes and workshops to uplift people. Vici! Conquering!

Or people that have a presentation to give and they don't know how to get what's in their heads out of their mouths. I love helping to coach people so that their messages hit the mark.

But what's this whole butterfly thing about? That's my favorite part of the story. Because any of you who know the story of a worm making the transformation into a butterfly knows that that worm goes through some dark times. They go through some stuff! And none of us have been able to live any life without going through some stuff. And dark times.

I talked once to a woman who had a butterfly farm. When she was starting out she noticed that this one butterfly was having a really hard time emerging from the chrysalis. So she thought, "I'll help it out." She sort of pulled away at it so it could get out and the beautiful butterfly emerged. But it couldn't fly. 

Because it is the strength that you get from pushing against the chrysalis that creates the strength in your wings so you can fly. Keep pressing against that chrysalis. You are creating the strength in your wings and my wish for all of us and my intention in 2023 is that we conquer. And we fly.
